Description

Web map display service, in accordance with the WMS-OGC standard, which covers the topic of orthoimages (item 3, Annex II of the INSPIRE Directive: OI — Orthoimagery). The Orthoimagery theme, according to INSPIRE, refers to all data in the form of images that have been ortorectified, whatever the segment of the electromagnetic spectrum used, obtained from film scans, aerial photography or remote sensing. It is therefore a form of data capture, unlike most other INSPIRE topics, which focus on types of information related to physical phenomena or their attributes. Grey coverage is chosen as a form of representation as specified in ISO 19123 (EN ISO 19123:2007, Geographic Information — Schema for coverage geometry and functions), which can be linked to both an individual orthoimage and a mosaic of orthoimages. The properties that describe the geometry of the coverage are derived from ISO 19123.
