Urgent Action Areas (UAA)
Description
Urgent Action Zones (UAA) of the Valencian Community. Article 24 of Chapter II of Law 3/1993 on Forestry of the Valencian Community states that, after hearing those affected, certain forest areas may be declared, by decree, as Urgent Action Areas in order to conserve them and promote their restoration provided that certain circumstances, including the risk of forest fires, occur in section g) land affected by any serious ecological alteration or at risk of affecting it. They are declared by Decree of the Valencian Government and entail the obligation to carry out the actions provided for in the draft declaration. It involves both public and private land.
