Key figures of Swiss nursing homes

Description

The Federal Office of Health is tasked with publishing key figures for Swiss nursing homes. They are based on the statistics of the socio-medical institutions (SOMED), which the Federal Statistical Office collects annually. The Federal Statistics Act of 9 October 1992 (BStatG; SR 431.01) and Articles 23 and 59a of the Federal Act of 18 March 1994 on health insurance (KVG; SR 832.10) is the legal basis for this statistical and administrative survey. The focus is on key figures that are relevant for care and activities related to compulsory health insurance (OKP).
