Description
The delimitation of soils with Environmental Protection is shown. Environmental Protection Soil includes soils that fall into some of the following categories:
1. Areas classified as Site of Community Importance (SCI). When SCIs are transformed into Special Areas of Conservation (SACs), these sites will be integrated into this soil category, replacing SCIs.
2. The soil designated Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA).
3. Protected Natural Areas defined by their specific legislation. The areas concerned account for 17% of the district area as SCIs (11 sites) and 22% of the Northwest area as SPAs (4 areas).
This geographical delimitation is for indicative purposes, prevailing over it what is indicated by the corresponding sectoral regulations.
