Improving Regional Relations
Description
The information describes the territorial model proposed in the Guidelines and Spatial Planning Plan of the Mula River, Vega Alta and Oriental of the Region of Murcia. It defines the objective to which the structure of the territory should aim, overcoming its weaknesses, mitigating its threats, enhancing its strengths and taking advantage of its opportunities. It arises from the analysis of the different possible alternatives and is developed through the Structuring and Strategic Actions that are formalized in the Guidelines. It defines the model proposed for the area of the Mula River, Vega Alta and Oriental, mapped in its conceptual expression, as a model based on a territorial structure and network of settlements with a polycentric character and that pursues territorial harmonization based on the compatibility between different land uses, the complementarity of settlements, the functional balance of the territory and the enhancement of landscapes.
The model also seeks to improve relations, both in the area of these Guidelines and at regional level, through the improvement of the transversal axes and their connection with the main regional axes, improving external relations and thus allowing a supraregional strengthening of the areas affected by these Guidelines and Plan.
