Description
This layer shows the location of the Ricote Valley (in an indicative way) where the Strategic Actions called Protected Landscape Program of the Ricote Valley and Promotion of the Candidacy of the Ricote Valley as a World Heritage Site proposed both in the Guidelines and Territorial Planning Plan of the Mula River, Vega Alta and Oriental will be developed. The actions consist of:
1. Ricote Valley Protected Landscape Program: The competent administrations will collaborate to generate and execute a program of conservation and recovery of historical ditches, and also, the competent administration will formulate a set of unique actions of landscape reinforcement in the Ricote Valley, all this may take the form of a territorial action program. Also, the Ministry responsible for spatial planning, in collaboration with the environment and local administrations, will promote the implementation of a training center on landscape in the Ricote Valley.
In addition, the Spatial Planning Plan will take into consideration the need to establish guidelines or criteria for the adaptation of the building and rehabilitation to the traditional typologies in the Ricote Valley.
2. Promotion of the Candidacy of the Ricote Valley as a World Heritage Site: The competent municipal and regional administrations, in collaboration with civil society, will promote by their own means the candidacy of the Ricote Valley for consideration by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
In addition, the competent Administrations will study the option of promoting the candidacy of the Ricote Valley to the category of European Heritage Lebel.
