Description
It shows the indicative lines of the structuring actions proposed in the Guidelines and Spatial Planning Plan of the Altiplano Region. Structuring actions are those that have a supramunicipal scope, giving cohesion and structuring the affected territory in a balanced way, and thus participating in the elimination of imbalances and the achievement of territorial planning objectives. The Structuring Actions that are reflected are the following:
a) Autovía A-33 Murcia-Jumilla-Fuente de la Higuera, which will allow the internal redistribution between Valencia, Alicante and Murcia, through a new internal alternative to the N-344, which will favor the territorial integration of the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia enhancing their interregional relations and including the Altiplano Region in the basic road axes of the Region of Murcia.
b) Jumilla-Venta del Olivo motorway, by dividing the RM-714 road. This infrastructure will allow the completion of the connection between the Region and the rest of the Region of Murcia, and properly connect this Region with the Murcia-Albacete A-30 highway, as well as allow communication between Andalusia and the Valencian Community, through the Altiplano and the Northwest Region.
c) Yecla-Santomera Highway, which will favor transactional flows to the Mar Menor favoring trade and improving the accessibility of the territory serving as a catalyst for the two engines of the regional economy, the furniture industry and coastal tourism.
(d)Adaptation of the disused railway track ‘El Chicharra’ in its section Cieza –Yecla as a continuation of the green cycling track of the Chicharra train from the province of Alicante, in order to create a large pedestrian and cycling axis that joins the main attractions of the area.
