WFS Service Inventory of Basins and Watercourses of the Region of Murcia. IDERM
Description
This service offers the Inventory of Watersheds and Watercourses of the Region of Murcia in WFS format. The Inventory was carried out in 2006 by the competent Regional Ministry for Spatial Planning. Based on the MTR 5,000 cartography available at that time, a Digital Elevation Model was generated, and, through GIS analysis tools, the drainage network and the associated subbasins were identified. The channel tranches are coded according to the Horton-Strahler Order and each tranche has the same identifier as its associated sub-basin. Information on reservoirs and endotherms is also provided. This information is binding for the purposes of the application of Article 38 of the Guidelines and Land Management Plan for the Industrial Land of the Region of Murcia.
