Scheduled Public Transport Service Piedmont Region (TPL) - GTFS Bus updated in January 2020
Description
The GTFS data available in this dataset are updated to January 2020, the most recent date is the dataset "Programmed Public Transport Service Piedmont Region (TPL) - GTFS Bus".
Data relating to the scheduled scheduled public transport service by bus contributed by the Piedmont Region, with details of the lines, nodes-stops, routes, timetables, timetables, plus any polylines of the routes, in GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) format. Stop-nodes (points) and paths (polylines) are geographically referenced in WGS84, with geographical coordinates in degrees and decimal degrees. The stop-nodes (Omnibus nodes) can group several contiguous real stops, so the mapping (in a barycentric position) can differ from the real location of the poles on the ground. In the description of the rides could be present only the main nodes-stop.
The graphic representation of the routes, when present, may not exactly coincide with the real route made by the vehicle, as it is generated through algorithms of minimum path between successive nodes-stops on a simplified regional road graph.
Two datasets are available:
1) GTFS_BUS_EN_PIE.zip: total data of the scheduled bus service contributed by the Piedmont Region, uploaded into the single regional database of local public transport by the Delegated Bodies (Provinces, Municipalities, Conurbations), responsible for programming and holders of service contracts with the operating Transport Companies. The dataset does not contain data from the urban service of the Municipality of Turin. The dataset does not contain the data of any scheduled road services not contributed by the Piedmont Region.
2) GTFS_BUS_EN_PIE_PARTIAL.zip: data of the scheduled bus service in the region. With respect to the GTFS_BUS_IT_PIE.zip file, rides whose GTFS data are generated directly by the data holder within the BIP project are excluded.

The encoding of the Entities subject to delegation is reported in the file routes.txt in the fields authority_id,authority_name. For more information on the specifics of the data and its use, see the link http://code.google.com/transit/spec/transit_feed_specification.html.
The updating and accuracy of the data of its transport services is the responsibility of the Delegated Entities, each of which operates according to its own timing and internal organization. Regione Piemonte is not responsible for incomplete, missing or incorrect data.
The data available represent the situation before the Prime Ministerial Decree of 11 March 2020 for COVID-19.
