Seasonal Deicing Salt Estimates using USGS Mineral Commodity Data
Description
This data release contains 42 rasters in GeoTIFF format (tagged image file format with geospatial metadata) representing spatially distributed seasonal estimates of deicing salt application across the Delaware River Basin (DRB) from calendar years 2001 through 2021 at a 30-meter spatial resolution using the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Minerals Yearbook data. The USGS Minerals Yearbook contains yearly data on the weight of domestic and imported solar and rock salt sold within each state.
