Sample Data from a Distributed Acoustic Sensing Experiment at Garner Valley, California

Description

In September 2013, an experiment using Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) was conducted at Garner Valley, a test site of the University of California Santa Barbara (Lancelle et al., 2014). This submission includes one 45 kN shear shaker (called "large shaker" on the basemap) test for three different measurement systems. The shaker swept from a rest, up to 10 Hz, and back down to a rest over 60 seconds. Lancelle, C., N. Lord, H. Wang, D. Fratta, R. Nigbor, A. Chalari, R. Karaulanov, J. Baldwin, and E. 8 Accelerometer data for four sensors on the Mini-Me structure. Individual columns are described in the file. The sample rate is 1000 samples per second. https://gdr.openei.org/files/481/20130910231307.UCLAGR2%20%281%29.csv
0 Each column represents a time series for a different channel in the cable. The fiber starts in the hut, moves out from there to the end of the array, and then doubles back to the hut in the same casing (see basemap.pdf). There is a new channel approximately every meter, the locations of which are denoted in “Corrected DAS Channel Locations.” The sample rate is 200 samples per second. https://gdr.openei.org/files/481/large%20shaker%20NEES_130910161319%20%281%29.sgy
