Description
In its progress report Mobility on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT), the Federal Environment Agency examined 50 possible individual measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector. In addition, the acceptance of the measures was also collected in a representative survey. This summary summarises the ten measures with the greatest potential for impact. The progress report serves as a technical basis for the national climate and energy plan, with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Austria by 36 % by 2030. The transport sector is one of the main sources of greenhouse gases in Austria. Ensuring mobility in the future and at the same time reducing the environmental impact is the major challenge of the necessary mobility transition.
