Description
In general terms, enlargement is seen both as an opportunity and as a potential threat: most
people think the EU will be stronger and more influential, both politically and economically, but it
will also be harder to govern effectively, decision-making will possibly become slower and controlling crime will potentially be more difficult in an open continent with no (or few) internal boundaries.
