Description
The appearance of the information society through the widespread usage of the Internet, and the development of the European Union into a frontier free Internal Market have led to an increase in the flow of personal information. This free flow of personal information throughout the EU seems essential for the efficient conduct of almost any economic activity on an EU-wide basis.
