Description

More than half of respondents say there is widespread discrimination in their country on the basis of being Roma (65%), of skin colour (61%,) of ethnic origin (60%), of gender identity (being transgender, 57%) or sexual orientation (54%). Around one in five (21%) respondents say they have personally felt discriminated against or experienced harassment in the past 12 months. The most mentioned forms of discrimination or harassment are based on age, gender, “political opinions”, “socio-economic situation” and “general physical appearance”.
