RUDIFUN Spatial Densities and Function Mixing Netherlands 2022 - PBL
Description
With the RUDIFUN dataset, governments, spatial researchers, planners and urban planners can work on research into the connection between spatial densities and the mixing of housing with other functions on the one hand and urban dossiers such as mobility, livability and the real estate market on the other. The 2022 RUDIFUN dataset is an improved, updated and extended version of the preliminary 2019 RUDIFUN dataset.
The Spatial Densities and Function Mixing in the Netherlands (RUDIFUN) dataset provides an indication of the density and morphology of built-up areas. It displays these in, among other things, the Floor-Space Index (FSI) and the Mixed Use Index (MXI). These units are calculated on the scale of building block, neighborhood, district and municipality. The map with the FSI gives an indication of the spatial density of buildings. The MXI expresses the relationship between living and working. The publication describes the various indices and their application possibilities.
