Tuscany Region - Monitoring Libraries of local authorities

The annual monitoring of Tuscan public libraries of local authority is an administrative-statistical survey that sees as a unit of detection and observation the libraries of local authority of public reading and the Tuscan Documentary Networks. The acquired information allows to measure the value of public libraries of local authority and library cooperation in Tuscany.
The data collected concern services and users, locations and equipment, assets, human and financial resources and can be consulted through >a dynamic navigation system that allows territorial and temporal comparison for the last years of the historical series. In the system, >in addition to the absolute values, it is possible to consult the indicators of resources and services built according to the indications of the IFLA (International >Federation of Library Associations and Institutions), which is the main international library association, consisting of >national professional associations and library institutions

N.B.:

• library and network profile questionnaires have changed over time and some information has not been
  monitored during the whole time series with the consequence that the corresponding fields may not be fed in the >>years >>when they have not been detected

• the information available in the network profile includes data from local government public libraries and other libraries
  members of the network
