Description
Budgetary legislative proposals shall have the official title ‘Establishment of the budget statement of .... for the year ....’. The budget statements are the amounts officially presented and authorised by chapter at article level for commitments, expenditure and revenue. The Parliament exercises its budgetary right at article level; therefore, the overviews in the proposed law are also limited to this level. This dataset contains each of these adopted budget statements by chapter since 2013.
The budgetary cycle has four ‘regular’ budgetary moments: the draft budget (published on Prince's Day – 3rd Tuesday of September), the adopted budget (situation after parliamentary approval – before 31 December), the first supplementary budget (published before 1 June), the second supplementary budget (published before 1 December), and the final law (published on Accountability Day – 3rd Wednesday of May). The dataset shall contain, for each of these budgetary moments, the stocks of commitments, expenditure and revenue at article level.
