Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Description

The Intangible Cultural Heritage Register is the central database of intangible heritage. Intangible heritage is intangible goods such as practices, representations, expressions, knowledge, skills, and associated movable and cultural spaces (where this heritage is represented or expressed) that are passed down from generation to generation by communities, groups and sometimes individuals and are constantly recreated in response to their environment, nature and history. The Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage is managed by the Ministry of Culture and is part of the Register of Cultural Heritage (in addition to the Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage, it consists of the Register of immovable cultural heritage and the Register of movable cultural heritage, which has not yet been established in practice). The purpose of keeping the register is to provide information support for the implementation of heritage protection. The register is also intended for presenting, researching, educating and developing public awareness of heritage.
