Register of immovable cultural heritage

The Register of immovable cultural heritage is the central database of heritage in Slovenia. Since 1991, it has been managed in order to provide information support for the implementation of heritage protection, and it is also intended for the presentation and research of heritage, as well as for the education, education and development of public awareness of heritage.
The description of a heritage unit in the register is the identity card of each unit and contains basic information about it. In addition to descriptive data, it also contains geolocation data. The entry gives the heritage unit a unique heritage identification - EID (formerly heritage registration number, EŠD), which uniquely identifies the unit and uses it in all protection procedures (recording, documentation, proclamation of cultural monuments, protection of heritage in spatial planning documents, issuing of cultural protection documents, financing and others).
A unit of heritage that has lost its heritage properties remains recorded in the register, although it is no longer protected in the space, documentary (archival) protection.
An individual with a qualified digital certificate can submit an initiative for entry in the register electronically using the Moja eDediščina application https://ised.gov.si.
