Raw radio telemetry receiver data used to assess passage efficiency of Landlocked Atlantic salmon over the Willsboro cascades in the Boquet River, NY in 2022

Description

Collection of text files containing raw detection tabular data generated from Lotek SRX800 radio telemetry receivers positioned in the Boquet River, NY to assess landlocked Atlantic salmon passage efficiency over the Willsboro cascades in the fall of 2022. Each text file corresponds to a receiver download event. Text files beginning with "TCS1" were generated from the receiver that was positioned at the lower extent of the Willsboro cascades while files with title's beginning with "TCS2" were generated from the radio telemetry receiver positioned at the upper extent of the cascades. Receivers were programmed to log and record detections on radio frequency 164.340 with a gain setting of 70. Each row within the tabular data constitutes information pertaining to a single detection of a radio transmission detected and recorded by the radio telemetry receiver. Logged transmissions were then recorded to the receiver's SD card which was manually downloaded by staff between one and three times per week. Receivers were deployed and active between September 21st and December 14th in 2022. Accompanying files include .btr and .dta files that contain receiver programming information. Note that a test tag programmed to frequency 164.340 code 25 was used for testing on September 28, 2022. Additionally, receiver TCS2 was no recording data from 2022-10-05 at 13:33:47 GMT through 2022-10-12 14:54:36 GMT due to storage being full.
