Digital terrain model — Derivative cards — Side exposure
Description
The map, realised using the digital model of the terrain at 10 meters pitch (derived from the DTM step 2 meters aggregated 2005/2008) shows the orientation with respect to the cardinal points of all sides of the regional territory. The result is a cartography in which each color corresponds to a different exposure compared to the North. The exposure of a slope indicates the direction in which a slope looks, which determines changes in exposure to sunlight and winds that are the conditions that determine the temperature and humidity of the soil.
