Database of the network of ports and tourist landings of Tuscany.A consolidated system of settlements and port infrastructures with prevailing mercantile vocation oversees the maritime territory of the region. The widespread network of the Tuscan tourist port, distributed along 578 km. of coast, guarantees the function of reception of nautical tourism (from recreational social nautical to high-end boating), that together with the activities of the production chain of the pleasure (specialised shipbuilding, maintenance and refitting, assistance services) constitutes the most important part of the “economy of the sea” of Tuscany.According to the provisions of Art. 85, paragraph 1, of LR No 65/2014, the network of Tuscan ports and tourist ports constitutes “unit infrastructure of regional interest”.
