Description
Areas of regional territory of natural and environmental interest pursuant to Regional Law 56/2000 repealed and replaced by Regional Law 30/2015 (http://www.regione.toscana.it/documents/13817346/0/LR+30_2015_v1_2016.pdf/114adb71-37d5-4d4b-8331-70b0a47817c6), implementing Directive 92/43/EEC “Habitat” (http://www.regione.toscana.it/documents/10180/667642/direttivacee_Habitat.pdf/65da1702-1fe9-402d-b169-8a72d3bf248b).The SCIs and SACs constitute the Natura 2000 Network, which is the instrument at European level through which to preserve endangered or threatened species of flora and fauna, and the natural environments that host them.The SCIs are sites that significantly contribute to maintaining or restoring a type of natural habitat or species in a satisfactory conservation status.The SACs are de facto of the SICs to which they are applied, within a maximum period of 6 months’ conservation, the conservation of natural habitats or species in a satisfactory conservation status.The SACs are in fact the SCIs which are applied, within a maximum period of 6 months, to maintain or restore a natural habitat type or species in a satisfactory conservation status.
