Tuscany Region — Master Centres of Tuscany
Description
Dataset of the ‘Tuscany matrix centres’ derived from the building seats with an area-type geometry. The cover ‘matrix centers of Tuscany’ was produced by the LCart/DIDA, Cartography Laboratory of the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence, in order to represent cartographically the extension of the historical centres and nuclei in the ‘Pattern of Landscape Characteristics’, on a scale of 1/50000 contained in the repertoire of the PIT with the value of Landscape Plan of the Tuscany Region.The archive was subsequently associated with a TPI attribute derived from comparison with the altimetric model of the region, in order to discriminate between the matrix centres based on the location on the valley floor, in the plain, on the slope or on the ridge.
