Tuscany Region – Sites of Regional Interest (SIR)
Description
With the LR 30/2015 https://www.regione.toscana.it/documents/13817346/0/LR+30_2015_v1_2016.pdf/114adb71-37d5-4d4b-8331-70b0a47817c6la Toscana has defined its regional ecological network composed of all the sites of the Natura2000 Network (SCI and SPA) and other protected areas called Sir (sites of regional interest). These latter areas, not included in the Natura 2000 network, have been identified by the Region with the aim of extending the framework for Community action by also protecting habitats and animal and plant species not covered, among those to be protected under the aforementioned Community Directives.
