CFVA — Types of stand areas covered by fire — 2009
Description
This information layer specifies the types of plant stand affected by the fire. In fact, each polygon delimits the type of vegetation concerned, classifying it BOSCO, PASCLE OR OTHER. Some of the burnt surfaces were detected: 1) for large fires using the satellite images of the SPOT 5 sensor, with subsequent validation through control points; 2) for minor fires directly in the countryside by forest personnel, with GPS handheld instrument.
