Description
It is the "ideal" line where land and sea meet. It can be natural, artificial (in the presence of both defense and service artifacts) or fictitious (at the mouths of waterways, adjacent to particular bodies of water such as lagoons or coastal lakes) and is generally characterized by a name. See: Example of a portion of the sea coast In the case of an artificial coast, areal or linear artifacts adjacent to the coast line must be defined. The coastline may also partially delimit areas of jurisdiction of the Port Authority (Administrative Area) and/or port areas (Relevant Area) corresponding to service installations or commercial activities of public interest. It is generally determined by photogrammetry and refers to the l.m.m.; It is therefore a conventional line.
