BDTRE - Mirror of water (SP_ACQ)
Description
This is the representation of the surfaces covered by still waters. In particular, this class includes the following types of still water: lake, pond, marsh / marsh, lagoon.It belongs to the theme "Inland and transitional waters" of the BDTRE (Territorial Reference Database of the Institutions) which refers to the classification and structuring of the area occupied by inland or transitional waters. A distinction is made between running waters and still waters; running waters may be of natural (rivers or streams) or artificial (channels) streams, while still waters may be of lakes, ponds or swamps, etc.
