Remote sensing Piemonte Sentinel2-NDVI spectral index
Description
The dataset is a series of elaborations of the Sentinel Piemonte Project obtained from the processing of images of the satellite Sentinel2 of the Copernicus project. The project involves the production of derived images, with specific automatic procedures, starting from the data available in the Sentinel archives on the regional territory. The process concerns historical data and is continuously updated on the latest available images. Among the processes are produced multi-temporal series of monthly Spectral Indices formed by aggregating pixels from images captured in the month.In the specific case, the NDVI index is based on the reflectance measurements acquired in the spectral regions of red and near infrared (b8-b4/b8+b4) useful for the characterisation of the plant component.
