Natura 2000 Network Management Plans: search for environments
Description
The management plans contain both purely regulatory aspects (Conservation Measures), as well as surveys on the territory concerned, both from an economic-social point of view, as well as historical, cultural and environmental (geological, pedological, floristic, wildlife). The Management Plan also contains the Action Cards, i.e. the interventions that are considered to be carried out in priority, in particular by the Operator, to protect and preserve some habitats or species of Community interest present on the Site.An indispensable part of the Management Plan is the mapping of habitats, or the localisation on the territory concerned of the environments protected by the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC. This cartography derives from precise surveys carried out on the protected territory with a purely floristic survey.The habitat map is the characterisation of land use according to the Corine Biotopes classification and where necessary according to Natura2000 coding. It is a constantly evolving dataset as the information currently present relates only to some Natura 2000 sites. The information derives from the Management Plans of the Natura 2000 Network Sites and from the preparatory studies for the preparation of the plans themselves.
