Monumental Trees of Piedmont: Census data
Description
The data relating to Monumental Trees, the result of the census carried out pursuant to Article 7 of Law No 10 of 14 January 2013 ‘Rules for the development of urban green spaces’ of the Interministerial Decree of 23 October 2014, are now available. These are homogeneous specimens or groups of trees present in the regional territory that are distinguished by their high biological and ecological value, their historical and cultural importance, their close relationship with architectural elements, their ability to characterize the landscape, both in aesthetic and identity terms.The regional list of Monumental Trees is periodically updated for integration with new trees and to take note of changes related to loss, natural death or felling, or the transposition of data corrections.A WFS service (vers 2.0) of the Complex Feature type is made available. To use this type of service it is recommended to use - for example - the QGIS plugin 'WFS 2.0 Client'.
