N.B. The dataset is no longer up-to-date as the competence over companies subject to the Seveso Directive has moved to the national level. The data therefore represents a historical view of the data, having been updated until they have been the responsibility of the regional level.In addition to the data on the damage areas generated by the activities subject to Seveso legislation, which represent the pressure factor in the territory, vulnerable territorial and environmental elements have been geo-referenced.Vulnerable territorial elements have been acquired around 1 km from the Seveso plant, are classified according to the provisions of Ministerial Decree 9/5/2001 and are characterised by the following parameters: maximum number of persons present, frequency of attendance (daily, weekly, etc.), territorial category within the meaning of Legislative Decree No 9/05/2001. The data are managed within the SIAR — Information System for major accident risk activities).Vulnerable territorial elements are uploaded by the municipalities when drawing up urban planning procedures and contingency plans: they may not be complete.Vulnerable environmental elements are identified by regional datasets and therefore subject to their update intervals.
