BDTRE — ADMINISTRATIVE DOMAINS — WMS GEO-SERVICE

Description

A WMS (Web Map Service) is a service that produces spatially related maps of data from geographical information, and is a technical specification defined by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). This WMS presents the “Administrative Scope” stratum of the Territorial Database of Reference of Bodies (BDTRE), structured according to the national technical specifications (DPCM 10 November 2011), collects the information related to the main territorial areas of administrative value. It reports to areas with official value and only the main administrations are taken into account: Municipality, Mountain Community, Province, Metropolitan City, Region, State. The contents of this service are divided into the following levels corresponding to the BDTRE classes:- Local government areas Maps can be viewed via various software (e.g. QGIS)
