BDTRE - Natural riverbed (ALVEO)
Description
The natural riverbed is understood as the representation of the riverbed, that is, the surface between the natural or artificial boundaries (banks, walls, escarpments, etc.) or of the engraved riverbed that represents that portion of the river region between the fixed or engraved banks of the river itself, normally the site of water outflows in conditions of flow at most equal to ordinary flood values.It belongs to the theme "Forms of the soil" of the BDTRE (Territorial Data Base of Reference of the Bodies) which describes the entities that define the morphological trend of the soil and that often have a function of symbolic clothing auxiliary to reading and orientation in the cartographic representation.
