The dataset represents river video surveillance systems of the Civil Protection — Piedmont Region.The Video Surveillance System of the Civil Protection Operative Room of the Piedmont Region, available via web at http://videoidro.dyndns.org/videoidro/, was born, starting in 2005, from the collaboration between the Technical Heritage Directorate and the Civil Protection Sector and Boschive Antincendi System (A.I.B.) with the aim of being used for the monitoring of hydraulically risky areas along the most important river rods. The system has been developed since 2005 with a first core of five fixed experimental video stations. Later expanded to the current 23 fixed units and three nomadic units, which also provide video streaming services for the Civil Protection CMR.
