Remote sensing Piemonte Sentinel2-NDWI spectral index
Description
The dataset is a series of elaborations of the Sentinel Piemonte Project obtained from the processing of images of the satellite Sentinel2 of the Copernicus project. The project involves the production of derived images, with specific automatic procedures, starting from the data available in the Sentinel archives on the regional territory. The process concerns historical data and is constantly updated on the latest available images. Among the processes are produced multi-temporal series of monthly Spectral Indices formed by aggregating pixels from images acquired in the month.In the specific case, the NDWI index is based on the reflectance measurements acquired in the spectral regions of the green and the first medium infrared, useful for characterisation of the water content of surfaces.
