Sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List "The Wine Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato" (cores and buffer zones)
Description
The figure, range, represents the wine landscapes of Piedmont and derives from the shape files developed by the Istituto Superiore sui Sistemi Territoriali per l’Innovation (SiTI), of which it specifies to a more detailed scale the perimeter of the areas of excellence and buffer zones.The identification of the core areas has been obtained, depending on the sections, on the basis of the municipal boundaries (Istat 2011), the BDTRE (in particular on roads, railways, watercourses, etc.), ortho-images, cadastral particles and indications already present in the Candidatura Dossier. In addition, in April 2016, the perimeter of two core zones was modified and further detailed within the municipalities of La Morra and Nizza Monferrato, which made their own contribution to the definition of the same.The perimeter of buffer zones, resulting from the merging of 30 Landscape Units of the Regional Landscape Plan, was designed, depending on the sections, on the municipal borders (Istat 2011). on the BDTRE (particularly on roads, railways, watercourses), orthoimages and cadastral particles.The scale of acquisition therefore varies according to the source used, from a definition of more detail in the case of cadastral parcels (1:2,000), up to a maximum of 1:10,000 for BDTRE or orthoimages.
