Sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List "The Wine Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero e Monferrato" (linear core zones)
Description
The linear figure represents the areas of excellence (core zones) of the wine-growing landscapes of Piedmont and derives from the shape files drawn up by the Istituto Superiore sui Sistemi Territoriali per l’Innovation (SiTI), of which it specifies to a more detailed scale the perimeter.The identification of the core zones was obtained, depending on the sections, on the basis of the municipal boundaries (Istat 2011), of the BDTRE (in particular on roads, railways, waterways, etc.). in addition, in April 2016, the perimeter of two core zones was modified and further detailed within the municipalities of La Morra and Nizza Monferrato, which made their own contribution to the definition of the same.The scale of acquisition therefore varies according to the source used, from a definition of greater detail in the case of cadastral parcels (1:2,000), up to a maximum of 1:10,000 for BDTRE or orthoimages.
