Description
The dataset represents the set of municipalities of Piedmont with a municipal Civil Protection plan relating to the Piedmont municipalities available in the Civil Protection Sector of the Piedmont Region.The Municipal Civil Protection Plan is a useful tool to support decisions in the emergency phase, the instrument for programming the most appropriate risk mitigation policies, development and management of the territory.The Civil Protection Municipal Plan aims to combine two elements: — the Risk Analysis that weighs on the municipal territory, which allows the preparation of the forecasting and prevention programme; — The Emergency Procedures that enable events to be addressed and which are contained in the emergency plan; Article 15 of Law No 225 of 24 February 1992, which identified the Mayor as a municipal civil protection authority, provides for the possibility for each municipality to have a civil protection structure.The tasks entrusted to the municipalities have been further supplemented by Article 108 of Legislative Decree No 112 of 31 March 1998 and identified in the following functions: B) take all the necessary measures to ensure first aid in the event of calamitous events; c) preparation of municipal and/or inter-municipal plans and care for their implementation; D) activation of the first aid to the population and the urgent measures necessary to deal with the emergency; and) supervision of the implementation by local civil protection structures of urgent services.
