IV Report (2013-2019) monitoring under Article 17 Habitats Directive – Habitats and Species
Description
The data relating to the monitoring of species and habitats of Community interest represent the compliance of the Piedmont Region with the provisions of Article 17 of Directive 92/43/EEC “Habitats”, according to which Member States must report every 6 years the conservation status of the species and habitats included in the Annexes to the Directive, and therefore worthy of protection, present in their territory. The data refer to the presence of species and habitats both within the Natura 2000 Network sites (SCI and SPA) and, for some of them, information on population size and occupied territorial coverage is also available. They are also associated with the evaluation carried out by the Ministry of the Environment on the state of conservation and the trend of each species and habitat, however, referring to the entire biogeographical region and not to the individual regional authority. The data refer to the 2019 marketing year.
