DTM 5X5 — Digital terrain model (ed. 2015)

Description

The shares of the DTM (identified as “pixel value” on the map) are related to the terrain both in urbanised areas and in extra-urban areas, while in areas with the presence of lakes and flooding the altitudes are related to the water level. The main sources used to prepare the DTM are: 1. the Regional Topographic Data Base for about 80 % of the territory (in particular the information layers inherent in the morphology: level curves, quoted points and break lines); 2. Lidar reliefs of resolution 1 m x 1 m along the rods of water courses and, for limited portions where the data were not available, with data from the previous edition of the regional DTM 20 m x 20, source Regional Technical Paper scale 1: 10,000 edition 1982 @-@ 1994. Method of realisation. For the generation of the DTM 5X 5, edition 2015, the following data were used: Vector data of the Topographic Database: from the DbT lots available in July 2015 a series of information layers have been extracted, analysed and harmonised considered suitable for the realisation of a digital model of the soil through the preventive construction of the “terrain data model”, a vector data model that provides for the multiscale and multi-resolution approach of the data. The accuracy of the altimetric data for these areas is dependent on the scale of the DBT survey: — in the areas detected at scale 1:2,000 (urbanised areas), the accuracy at altitude is equal to 0.30 m, corresponding to level 4 of the “Technical requirements for the production of digital models of the land” -GIS State Region Entente; — in the areas detected at scale 1:5,000 (extra urban intensively infrastructured) the accuracy at altitude is 1 m 1, corresponding to level 3 of the “Technical requirements for the production of digital models of the land” — in the areas detected at scale 1:10.000 (extra urban agricultural and forestry) the accuracy at altitude is equal to m 2, corresponding to level 4 of the “Technical requirements for the production of digital models of the land”. From the database of the DBT were selected the geometric primitives related to the layers: vehicle circulation area, secondary mixed road, transport site on iron, embankments, wet area of watercourse, body of water, artificial reservoir, water element, level curves, listed points, break line, escarpment. Then the objects were selected, analysing each individual DBT batch, in order to verify the elements to be used and discard any anomalies. The data harmonisation activities were deepened for layer L050101 “level curves”, making a selection of isoipse with equidistance 10 m and then proceeding with their harmonisation along the lot boundaries. At the end of the harmonisation and correction phase of the most obvious anomaly cases, the TIN model was developed and then derived the DBT 5 m DTM, for the areas of the regional territory covered by this type of data.
