Susceptibility to the phenomenon of pollen eyes in the territory of Monza and Brianza

Description

The map service shows the division of the territory of the Province of Monza and Brianza into homogeneous areas by degree of susceptivity (very high, high, moderate, low, very low), or probability of occurrence, to the phenomenon of pollen eyes, as shown in Table 8 “Hydrogeological Arrangement” of the Territorial Plan of Provincial Coordination (https://bit.ly/3bZPOEi). Pollen eyes are underground cavities that in the event of collapse can lead to sudden sinking of the soil, resulting in potential involvement of the superstructures. Their presence is closely linked to the geological context of the surface and subsoil of the territory of the upper Lombardy plain and in particular the sector between the Adda and Ticino rivers. To each polygon of the map service is connected a fiche, taken from the report of the PTCP, which contains the Reference Guidelines for the prevention and mitigation of the risk resulting from this hazard factor for municipal planning tools, with particular reference to the management of meteoric waters in areas with the highest susceptivity (https://www.provincia.mb.it/export/sites/monza-brianza/doc/mandato2009_2014/consiglio_decisioni/Delibere/2013/PTCP/ALLEGATO_D_1._Relazione_approvata_.pdf).
