Nitrate Vulnerable Zones – WMS

Description

This service makes it possible to view and download the updated map of nitrate vulnerable areas of agricultural origin, defined in implementation of Article 3 of Directive 676/91/EEC and Article 92 of Legislative Decree No 152/06. Nitrate vulnerable areas are an integral part of the Water Protection and Use Plan (PTUA – 2016) and as such approved by Legislative Decree 6990/2017 ‘Approval of the Water Protection and Use Programme pursuant to Article 121 of Legislative Decree No 152/2006 and Article 45 of Regional Law No 26/2003’. Following that approval, the Decree No 2535/2019 ‘Designation of new vulnerable areas from nitrates of agricultural origin within the meaning of Article 92 of Legislative Decree No 152/2006’ was adopted, which made some additions to the cartography approved in 2017. The boundaries of band A of the Hydrogeological Planning Plan can also be viewed and downloaded, within which, pursuant to d.g.r. 2893/2020 and as amended, there is an absolute ban on the spread of manure of animal origin.
