Lombard Museum System (SML)
Description
The dataset contains a list of museum collections and museums recognised by the Lombardy Region. Regional recognition is granted after verification of the presence of minimum requirements and specific quality standards. The objective of the recognition is to progressively enhance the conservation, research, enhancement and promotion activities carried out by museum institutes. The recognition process has been launched since 2002. For each mark questioned with the “Identify” tool you can access a brief set of information about each institution. The data were extracted from the SML-Sistema Museale Lombardo database, the information system that allows the collection, organisation and enhancement of data relating to the museums of Lombardy Region.
