Direct protection forests
Description
The map service allows the visualisation of forests of direct protection, i.e. woods that, due to their special location, protect people, goods and infrastructure from natural hazards such as avalanches, rock fall, superficial slips, torrential washes and more, preventing the event or mitigating its effect. For these woods there is a prohibition on the change of use from forest to other land use, bones of “transformation of the forest” (Article 43 l.r. 31/2008, Art. 8 para. 7 of Legislative Decree 34/2018, Art. 17 of the R.D. 3267/1923).
