Chemical Status Transitional Waters 2015-2020 [ARPA Lazio]
Description
The chemical status index is based on the evaluation of hazardous and persistent pollutants in the water matrix with concentration levels higher than the Environmental Quality Standards established by Legislative Decree 172 of 2015. The concentrations of the substances listed in the Decree are defined by the environmental quality standards (EQS) expressed as annual average values (EQS-MA) and as maximum permissible concentrations (EQS_CMA), set out in Table 1/A of Ministerial Decree 260/2010. Water bodies that meet all the environmental quality standards established for each of the substances in the priority list are classified in chemical status "Good" and graphically represented with the color blue. If the environmental quality standards are exceeded, even for a single year of the three-year period or even for a single substance sought, the lake water body is classified as "Not Good" for its chemical status and graphically is represented with the color red.
