Description
The computerised geological map of the Lazio Region on a scale of 1:25,000 consists of a real geodatabase structured on 10 fields of coding, resulting from the updating of the old digital geological maps in the context of GIS of the Lazio Region. In particular, the updates made fall within the following geographical areas: Valle Latina, Monti Ernici, Monti Ausoni, Monti Aurunci, Monti Lepini, Monti Cornicolani, Sabino-Lucretile sector, Farfa Gorges, Circeo National Park, Pontina Plain, Cimini and Vicani, Pontine Islands. In addition to purely litological indications, geological formations are also classified according to their location in the orogenic structuring phase of the central Apennines and their depositional environment, understood as an environment of origin, formation and sedimentation.
