Map of natural and semi-natural formations at 4th and 5th level Corine Land Cover

Description

The mapping was carried out with the aim of deepening the level of detail of classes 3-4-5 of the Corine Land Cover by standardising the level with classes 1 and 2 already drawn up by the Department of Urban Planning in the Regional Land Use Map at a scale of 1:25,000, using a standard methodology recognised at national level. The data is returned by satellite photos whose detection years are 2005 - 2006. The study at 4th and 5th levels of the natural and semi-natural classes of the CUS Regione Lazio makes it possible to define a single reference system in the classification of land cover as an indispensable tool for landscape/urban planning, for updating the Parks Plan and for the construction of the Regional Ecological Network. The final product is a reliable tool for substantial decision support for land monitoring and management.
