ZVN – Vulnerable Zones from Nitrates of Agricultural Origin
Description
The reference Community standard for pollution of water by nitrates of agricultural origin is Directive 91/676/EEC, known as the Nitrate Directive, which aims to prevent high concentrations of nitrates in water by limiting the polluting effects of intensive agro-zootechnics, and to reduce the use of chemical fertilisers. Resolution No 719 of 14 November 2023 presents the update of the Nitrati Vulnerable Zones of Agricultural Origin of the Lazio Region, pursuant to Article 92 of Legislative Decree No 152/2006 and the confirmation of the Vulnerable Zones from Nitrates of agricultural origin identified by Regional Decree No 523 of 30 July 2021. Below is the abbreviation and designation of the 22 Nitrati Vulnerable Zones in the Lazio region: ZVN 1 – Maremma Laziale -Tarquinia Montalto di Castro ZVN 2 – Three Coins ZVN 3 – Astura ZVN 4 – Pontine Plain – Southern sector ZVN 5 – Pontine Area ZVN 6 – Treja ZVN 7 – Vaccina ZVN 8 – Valchetta ZVN 9 – Aniene ZVN 10 – Malafede ZVN 11 – Bag ZVN 12 – Arrone ZVN 13 – Marta_Vico ZVN 14 – Mignone ZVN 15 – Long_Strip ZVN 16 – Arrone_Galeria ZVN 17 – Tiber ZVN 18 – Nemi_Ufente ZVN 19 – Alabro_Canterno ZVN 20 – South Bag ZVN 21 – Clear Waters ZVN 22 – Rio D’Itri.
